| Although Redskins coach Jay Gruden has named Robert Griffin III the team's starting quarterback for the 2015 season, Griffin will have to play well to maintain the job , reports ESPN.com.|
"It's not etched in stone," Gruden said. "Guys will still come in and compete. Kirk and Colt won't lay down, but they understand their role. But for Robert moving forward it's important for him to know that everybody is excited for him and will work hard for him and he just has to do a good job."
The Redskins also have quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy on their roster and Gruden said it's good to establish a hierarchy early.
"It's important for somebody to have a starting block," Gruden said. "This is where we are now and this is where we'd like to be."
